The Photos That Prove They Don’t Care

Today, as the Senate Judiciary Committee convened to vote to advance Judge Barrett’s nomination to the full Senate, the Democrat members of the Committee did not show up.  Instead, they placed photos in their empty chairs.

The photos were of people they had previously used as campaign props during their (laughable) questioning of Judge Barrett.    These were the photos that they used as back drops while they called Judge Barrett a liar and a threat.  These were the photos to which they pointed when they claimed that Judge Barrett, if confirmed, would somehow and seemingly singlehandedly not only deny them and all of us any health care, but also return us to some sort of Dark Ages. 

These same photos were behind the Democrats when they refused to use their time during the Barrett questioning to actually ask Judge Barrett questions relevant to her qualifications to become a Supreme Court Justice.  These were the photos that they pointed to as they recited campaign rhetoric about healthcare and abortion and civil rights.  These were the photos that the Democrats used to try to instill fear into the American people.

While claiming that they cared about the people in the photos, the Democrats pointed to them as part of their theater of fear mongering.  Do the Democrats really care about these people?  I don’t know.  What I do know is that they tend to use individual stories to prop up their own sweeping and misleading rhetoric.

What I do know is that despite the pretty and perhaps emotion invoking photos and personal stories behind them, the Democrats have contempt for the American people, for the Constitution of the United States of America, and for our form of government.

Today, the Democrat Senators had a job for which the American people elected them and for which we the taxpayers pay them.  That was to show up at the Committee meeting of the Judiciary when they are members of that Committee.  

Contrary to what they would have the American people believe, this meeting and indeed this entire nomination process is not a sham.  It is a constitutionally mandated part of our government.   The appointment of a Supreme Court Justice is serious business that these Senators were elected to conduct.  Let them grandstand on their own time.

The Democrats can present all the political theater that they want.  The bottom line is that they are shirking their duties.  (And if you want to understand the facts about why this nomination is not a sham and is perfectly in line with our history, our Constitution, and the will of the people, you can read my previous 3 blog posts about the hearings)

The Democrat stunts during this nomination process present one example of the Democrat contempt for the American people and the rule of law, but, while this process displays in high definition the Democrats’ true colors, it is not by any means the only example.

If you have been reading this blog for the past three and three-fourth years you are aware of example after example of the Democrats' refusal to accept the will of the people when it is not what they want.  It began with their refusal to accept Donald Trump as the legitimate President of the United States.  That has continued throughout his presidency as they try one after another means of removing him from office and hence overturning the will of the people. 

The Democrats have shown us that they do not care about the will of the people and will not think twice about thwarting it if it stands in the way of their power.  They do not respect the institutions and offices of our government.  They are willing to ignore, indeed shred, the Constitution if that is what it takes.  They are also willing to use people and their photos as props if that is what it takes.

The Democrats have shown us that they believe that those with whom they disagree, those who do not fit their preconceived mold for women or Blacks or any of their many identity groups as well as those who hold value systems or beliefs that they disdain such as conservatives (and especially conservative people of color and women)  do not deserve our Constitutional freedoms such as speech or worship.  To Democrats it is acceptable to silence and hate those with diverse views.

If you have read my blog for the past few years you have read about various forms of governments including socialism and its failures.  You have read about how socialist programs, programs that sound laudable and may actually be intended to help one or another group, how those programs actually harm the individual by creating a dependent subclass.  Such subclasses are used by those in power as a means of retaining their own power.

You have read about how the progressive programs of the Left will actually deny us the freedoms that we hold dear.  They will severely weaken if not remove our right to think for ourselves and each determine our own destiny.  They show a disregard for the individual humanity of each of us.

The Democrats’ rhetoric about Judge Barrett and her nomination process is based on lies, misinformation, and mistruths.  This should not surprise us since that pretty much describes everything that comes from the Democrats these days. 

The Democrats build narratives on facts that are at best incomplete and more likely do not even exist.  They along with their media handmaidens suppress information and facts that are harmful to their narrative.  The list is long, beginning with the Russian hoax and its falsified FISA warrents and continuing to the present with the suppression of credible facts about Joe Biden’s use of his vice presidency for personal and family gain.  (NPR justifies not reporting the story as “not wanting to waste viewer’s time”; I still believe that viewers can and should decide for themselves what is a waste of their time.)

Politicians of course always try to make a case for their policies.  But that case should not be based on mistruth.  Yet, this approach of denying the truth about our system of government is on full display by the Democrats in the Barrett hearings. 

I suspect that the Democrats who did not show up today actually do know what their responsibilities are, that they do know that the Supreme Court is not a political branch (at least not unless/until they succeed in making it so by their Court-packing scheme). 

I suspect that the Democrats know that our form of government requires, and our freedoms depend upon a judiciary that is not political.  Justice requires the ability to put one’s personal agenda aside.  That is what the Democrat Senators should do when considering a new Justice.  Yet, their goal seems to not be justice, but rather a political ally dressed in the black robe.

The empty seats this morning, the photos intended to pull on our heartstrings, the lies about Judge Barrett and the nomination processes, these all show a callous contempt and disrespect on the part of the Democrats for the American people.  Those of us who are not bamboozled by their rhetoric need to put an end to it the one way that we still can – by casting our vote on November 3.

This is an important election.  The status of our democracy and with it our individual freedoms are on the ballot.  See this morning’s photos for what they really are – a picture of the Democrat disdain for America and Americans.

As I have said before, I am not a member of any political party and have voted for both Republican and Democrat candidates in the past.  But this year I believe that America’s future is fully dependent on our vote and because I believe in our Constitution and our Democratic Republic, because I value our democracy and how it allows every individual to determine his or her own beliefs and values and allows each of us to speak freely those beliefs while requiring tolerance of those who hold different views, because I believe that Democrat policies will truly weaken if not destroy many of the crucial foundations of our society, for those reasons and more I am voting Republican this year, and I urge everyone who holds America dear to do the same.

Democrat Dreams, American Nightmare

Recently I have been going through old blog posts in an attempt to organize them by primary topic.  The interesting thing is that when I read posts from 2017 their theme and argument are almost identical to those I write currently:  the destructive nature of identity politics; the rise of socialism; the lack of deep, independent, and objective thought and its companion lack of education; the Constitution and basic American principles; fact vs. narrative; the First Amendment; Freedom vs. entitlements; political hatred and attacks; the press and propaganda; etc.

The immediate context in which these appear may change, but the basic issues are the same.  It’s like when a couple keeps having the same arguments over and over and at some point someone suggests why don’t you just say Argument A, or B, or C and be done with it.  Really, I could just repost and repost by topic.

But what is so troubling about this is that I can’t help but wonder when will everyone wake up?  And when they do will it be too late?  That is, many people either did not see or chose not to see what I was writing about in 2017.  Their blindness continues today.  I have written about being blinded by hatred.  Is that it?  Is it disbelief?  Or is it just really good propaganda?

Once I have gone through the posts from the start of this blog, I will post an index by key topics (this takes time, so don’t expect it immediately).  Once that is posted, I encourage everyone to read an entire topic group.  It is indeed frightening that 3 ½ years ago I began pointing out the very same things that I write about today.

It’s interesting that a key tactic used by Democrats is the fomenting of hysteria.   By now we should understand that the Democrats and other Trump haters will suggest some fictional scenario, then begin to state the hypothetical as if it were a fact, and then foment hysteria about what was once just a fiction in someone’s head. 

The most obvious examples are the Russian Investigation begun with the hypothetical “what if Trump colluded with Russia to win the election?”  and the impeachment which began with the hypothetical “what if instead of the typical conversation between leaders about the possible wrongdoing by a former government official or his son, it was an abuse of power?”  The hysteria of these two suggestions led to years of investigation based upon often false and manufactured evidence and cost the taxpayers millions of dollars. 

The Democrats and their symbiotic partner the media become hysterical about “what ifs” as they treat them as fact and then wail about the horrors of Trump having done the parade of horribles that they have created.  The intent, of course, is to turn the country against the President, thus furthering the agenda of the Democrats. 

One of the current fears that the Democrats are mongering is that we are in imminent danger of having storm troopers roaming our streets and the President enforcing law and order through martial law nationwide.  Where does this come from?  It seems to have begun when the President legitimately sent Federal troops to protect Federal buildings being vandalized and attacked by rioters in Portland.  This is not only his right to do, but also his duty to protect the People’s Federal property.  It is not the act of some authoritarian dictator.  Yet that is what the Democrats would have us believe.

In Albuquerque, NM, where crime statistics compete with Chicago (fewer murders but far more overall violent crimes including assault and rape as well as murder), the President is sending additional Federal investigators to help those already there as well as local law enforcement to participate in Operation Legend which investigates major crimes and gang violence.  These federal agents are not “storm troopers.”  While officers on the ground for the most part welcome the help, many Democrat politicians including the city’s mayor, have pronounced their skepticism that these are not really storm troopers along with their belief that the President actually intends to create another Portland (no matter that Portland’s current situation was created by violent agitators and their Democrat supporters). 

This is consistent with the typical rhetoric we regularly get from Democrats around the country.  They suggest that Trump will become a dictator, then turn that suggestion into the assertion that his intention is to do so.  This argument in one form or another has been with us since Trump’s election.  He was going to ruin every one of their identity groups’ lives.  The Blacks would be sent back to slavery or worse.  But, instead, Trump gave them the best economic outlook they have ever had in this country.  Women’s rights, Hispanic rights, LGBTQ rights, and all the others have not suffered the horrible consequences that the Democrats predicted; instead, at best things remain for them the same, but for most their lives and their future possibilities have improved, even if currently stalled by CoVid.

No matter.  Another election is coming, and hysteria must be fomented once again, this time not with the hope of removing Trump from office before the end of his first term, but from keeping him from being re-elected.  So, the fear mongers go into overdrive.  And, they are of course helped by the uncomfortable uncertainty that prevails due to CoVid, exacerbated by the media that spends at least half its time hyping the many statistics of CoVid, especially those  that are potentially frightening – deaths, rising positives, availability of a variety of equipment, the dangers of leaving your house.   People are already in fear of this unknown enemy and the Democrats would love to have people become as hysterical as possible and then blame their discomfort on Trump. 

Here are a few simplified examples of how a speculation or suggestion develops into a rhetorical assertion:

  • What if Trump were to declare martial law Trump intends to declare martial law Do not vote for Trump, he will impose martial law. 
  • What if Trump’s “law and order” is really a cover-up for the fact that he doesn’t care about people and only cares about himself and so wants to put all of the rest of us under martial law Trump intends to impose martial law across the country living under Trump’s martial law will be no different than living in Nazi Germany Trump doesn’t care about the people or the Constitution, but just wants to be a dictator → Don’t vote for Trump or this most horrible of horribles will come to pass. (I can’t help but wonder sometimes if the Democrats are not seeing themselves in these hypotheticals they develop.)
  • Trump says he wants to insure against voter fraud, but what if it is all a ploy to steal the election we must ignore the statistics about mail in voter fraud so that Trump does not steal the election No matter what happens in the election Trump will not accept the results unless he wins We either have to steal the election back from him or violently remove him No one vote for him so that it is clear to him that he has lost and we will not need to forcefully remove him.
  • What if Trump is using CoVid for his own evil purposes and gain He refuses to make a national mandate and plan that will protect us Trump is using CoVid against us and he is destroying us Trump is a murderer Do not vote for this murderer.  (Notably, it’s interesting that the fear of dictator Trump seems to conflict with the CoVid argument that Trump should have usurped the power of governors to run their own states and made some all-encompassing mandate for the entire country – but the Democrats are not interested in being consistent, just in creating enough hysteria to make you more receptive to their agenda.)

All of the above, and many more that you hear daily, begin with a “what if” dreamt up in the mind of some Democrat or one of their symbiotic partners   They begin with a hypothetical that incorporates some aspect of some facts of a current situation, then morph into assertions of supposed fact that too many people believe.   

The assertions may sound believable because they do incorporate some aspect of a current factual situation, but they are not representative of reality.  And, as noted above at the start of this post, too many people ignore reality for some reason.  That ignorance is the real dream come true for the Democrats, for those who would continue to divide us and mislead us until they have led us over the cliff and into the true and ugly reality of Socialism.  And that will be the real nightmare for America.

Stand By Your Man (and the country be damned), and Other Thoughts


I have not written here for some time for two main reasons.  One, I personally have been quite busy, and second and more decisive was that there is just little new to say.   The Democrats are the same angry haters obsessed with removing Trump from office.  Socialism is still socialism.  Trump is still using crude language but doing great things for the people of this country – jobs, economy, international relations, etc. etc.  So, having addressed all of this previously, it seemed redundant to rewrite.

But, now that the Democrats have seemingly chosen the instrument that they will use to attempt a win in November, and now that we have the Senate Democrat leader threatening Supreme Court justices, I do have a few thoughts which follow.

First, about Joe Biden.  I think it is clear to just about everyone that Joe seems to be in the early stages of dementia.  Whether or not you like or support Joe, that is sad.  But more importantly, it is frightening to consider that he could be the candidate for and could even be elected as president.  Anyone with any thought must be able to see the danger in that.

So, that is why I wonder why his wife stands by and supports him.  We saw her protect him by attacking a protester recently, but is she really protecting him when she encourages his continued run for an office it seems clear that his mind in its present state cannot handle?  Is she protecting him when she is helping him to be used by the Democrats who don’t really care about Joe, but only see him as a useful tool to possibly regain their power?

I don’t understand this.  But then, I don’t understand how a whole party could care more about their own power than the country.  I suspect that if the Democrats successfully use Joe to regain power, they will quickly cast him aside, so if he does get the nomination, the one voters should be scrutinizing is not Joe, but his pick for Vice President. 

But what really puzzles me is the wife.  Democrats are always saying that Republican women can’t think for themselves, but I look at Joe’s wife and I wonder what on earth she is thinking, or if she is even thinking.  Would anyone help to put someone who so obviously seemingly suffers from some sort of dementia into the powerful position of President of the United States of America?  Can she really be that selfish?  Or, is she, like all good Democrats, just falling in line and doing what she is told, even when in the long run it is more likely to hurt her husband or at least make him some sort of laughing stock, while at the same time working to create a situation that endangers the entire country.  

If someone whose mind is not 100% is given the chance to make world and life changing decisions that can affect us all, then we are all in danger.  Joe’s wife, Dr. Biden (Ed.D.) must understand that.   I know that if I were in her situation and my husband were showing signs of early dementia, regardless of party demands or personal love of power, I would do everything I could to talk him out of running.

Joe is a lovable character.  His gaffes are humorous.  Now.   There are many types of dementia, some progress quickly, others slowly.  But no matter how much you love someone, or how much you hate the current white house occupant, absolutely no one should be even considering replacing that current occupant with someone whose mental state is questionable.

But, then, when your only campaign policy is to beat Trump, I guess such things as the good of the country really are not relevant.

Turning now to Senator Schumer’s recent threats toward Supreme Court Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, this also is something about which every American should be outraged.  His words, while arguably hyperbolic, were clear threats intended to intimidate those justices to rule a particular way in an upcoming case.

That is nothing like giving an opinion about a case that has been decided or about comments made by a justice in a decided case or on other matters not before the court.  Yet, in its biased propaganda wisdom, the mainstream media considers such comments by Trump to be completely analogous to the threats of Schumer.  They are not.

Schumer said: “I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”  These words were spoken at an abortion rights protest in front of the Supreme Court while the court has a pending abortion case before it.  It is a threat to the justices, an attempt to cause them to rule pro-abortion in the pending case. Schumer, despite his attempted retractions, knew exactly what he was saying and what he was doing. 

Schumer’s threat is nothing like the statements by Trump in which he, in his typical straight and common verbiage (not refined politi-speak) criticizes decisions he does not like.  This is something that every president tends to do – give opinions about decisions that have been rendered.  That is very different from threatening a judge to decide a particular way in a pending case “or else.”

Even Trump’s most recent statements about Justices Sotomayor and Ginsburg were not threats to their decision making in a pending case.  He said he thought they have been unfair to him in the past and that they should recuse themselves from future cases involving him.  These are his opinions; there is no pending case involved and there is no threat that if they do not decide his way in a pending case that they will “pay the price.”

Trump’s words express his unfavorable opinions about justices and their past decisions.  Schumer’s words are a clear attempt to intimidate and influence the decision in a current case pending before those justices whom he threatened.  In this country we are allowed to express our opinions.  We do not, however, threaten judges to decide a pending case in a particular way.  To do so can be a felony or other crime.  This is because in this country we expect impartial justice.

It is dangerous when Americans, especially American leaders and politicians, believe they can intimidate the Supreme Court and force it to make decisions political rather than render unbiased, legal, and Constitutional decisions.  Dictators, socialists, other authoritarian regimes may tell their judiciary how to decide a case, but we do not do that in this country.  But, perhaps the Left, in its quest to upend our democracy and establish their own absolute power, have forgotten that.

And, finally, one quick comment about another Democrat primary contender – Elizabeth Warren.  Her inability to endorse Sanders, whose policies mirror those that she advocated during her campaign, just underscores what we have known since long before this campaign cycle:  that she is a total fraud.   For her, there is only one interest, and that is herself.  She used a false Native American narrative to further her career and her power; she used big money, then trashed it when it better served her campaign to do so; and, apparently she used a progressive/socialist agenda to try to further her presidential chances, but there is no evidence that she really believed in or cared about what she was saying.  She is a woman after her own power and nothing else.  I assume she will work to get the best deal she can for herself before she comes forward with an endorsement which could be for Bernie or for Joe; she really doesn’t care as long as it is good for her.  Remember that next time she runs.

The Impeachment Show


So, tomorrow the Impeachment Show begins – live TV entertainment.  You may watch if you like that sort of thing – a crusade based on hatred of an individual, not unlike the bullying by the “in-crowd” against a successful outsider. This is a not so good sequel to the Russian Collusion show.  If you don’t realize that this is all just part of the ongoing coup/now revolution jihad then you have not been paying attention.

Yes, it is really that ridiculous, and if it weren’t so frightening for the survival of America and all for which it stands, then it would simply be a rather poor comedy.   But it is not.  Last month I wrote about how we were no longer in a coup, but now a revolution (LINK).  My final words (before quoting “Revolution) in that post were

America is under attack.  What was an angry outburst against election results has moved from a childish outburst to a coup and now a revolution - a full out challenge to the established political order, government, culture, and their related associations and structures.   This matters.  This is a challenge to every American.  And every American who is involved in this revolution needs to be very clear on what they are doing while those of us not involved need to do everything we can to educate those warriors and defend our country from their attack.

The revolution is going full force ahead.  The frightening results that we face as both individuals and as a nation are made woefully clear in an excellent piece by historian and scholar Victor David Hanson; LINK  .  His final lines in this essay read, “One side will say, “”Just give us more power and we will create heaven on earth.”” The other says ““Why would anyone wish to take their road to an Orwellian nightmare?”” The 2020 election is that simple.”

Why, you may ask, am I quoting something about the 2020 election when this post’s title and beginning are focused on impeachment?  The answer is very simple:  the Impeachment Show is nothing more than a Democrat campaign strategy to keep Donald Trump from being re-elected.  Anyone who examines the alleged evidence realizes there is just nothing there – nothing other than innuendo and gossip and perhaps some actual disagreement about policy.  But nothing impeachable.  Let me repeat that: NOTHING.  Just as there was nothing there in the Russian collusion show; nothing there in the Kavanaugh #metoo show, nothing there is the daily diatribes against the President.  NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING.

The Impeachment Show is a campaign strategy and part of the overarching campaign to remove the president from office (the original coup attempt) and now the broader campaign to completely remake this country (the ongoing revolution).  As a campaign strategy it allows the Democrats to justify not doing what the people sent them to Washington to do (things like pass laws that benefit the people and the country, debate important issues, etc.).  They are too busy with impeachment to do anything else, and so they justify a failure to serve the people who elected them.  And, by their doing nothing, the President’s agenda becomes stalled, so they can argue that he did not accomplish what he should.  Further, it allows Democrats to throw all sorts of dirt at the President and the Republican party – the sort that you see and usually object to in the ugliest campaign ads – claiming that they must release this hearsay and innuendo as part of an open impeachment.

Of course, you must realize that this is anything but an open and fair process.  The key witnesses are avowed anti-Trumpers who consult with Democrats before coming forward.  Adam Schiff (who salivates every time he even thinks about removing Trump from office) has been running and continues to run a Star Chamber sort of process.

For those not familiar with Star Chamber, it was a court process that existed in England from the 15th to mid-17th centuries.  While it was originally created to fairly enforce laws against socially and politically prominent and powerful people whom ordinary courts were reluctant to convict, it became synonymous with social and political oppression through the abuse of the power it wielded.  Its proceedings were secretive and its judgments arbitrary.  It became an instrument of oppression rather than justice.

One can see why Schiff’s impeachment show is often linked to Star Chamber.  He is using what in the past has been generally a fair process and corrupting it to his purposes of removing the President from office, or failing that objective, of destroying his chances for re-election.  This is in effect both social and political oppression as it attempts to remove a duly seated president and overturn the will of the people with absolutely no valid legal basis for doing so. 

Until tomorrow the hearing has been in secret with even Republicans (and through them the people they represent) denied access.  Questions by Republicans have been disallowed.  Schiff met with the “whistleblower” before he became a whistleblower, and both are avid anti-Trumpers.  Schiff determines what witnesses can be called and which can be cross-examined.  He suggests written questions to the whistleblower instead of live testimony.  Yet it is a basic principle of American justice that one is allowed to face his accuser.  No one knows what went on in Schiff’s secret hearings – what Schiff may have said or how he may have coached witnesses.  His selectively leaked information must be viewed as tainting any future testimony and his ability to selectively allow or prevent witnesses and testimony makes the who process more of a show trial than an actual quest for justice.

The list goes on; you need only consult the daily outpouring of information.  The problem is, however, that the mainstream media fails to report much of what is happening if it even sounds, let alone is, averse to the Democrats’ position.  This is not surprising since they also fail to report the many positive accomplishments of the President for our country, or, when they do, they couch them within something portrayed as negative.

Those who hate the President will simply accept without question the narrative of the Democrats.  Yet, anyone who gives it the slightest thought will see how weak and contrived this impeachment claim is.  First, we don’t just give away taxpayer money to other countries without expecting something in return.  Any taxpayer who thinks we do should be screaming in objection. There is always some sort of exchange (“quid pro quo”) and hence that alone is certainly not an impeachable offense.

Second, the country has a valid interest in learning about foreign interference in our elections, and the President’s request that Ukraine investigate that was valid.  Similarly, if a sitting Vice President used his influence to benefit himself or a family member financially or to demand the firing of someone within a foreign country who was investigating his son, the country has a right to know about that and the President was within his right and it was his duty to ask the Ukraine to investigate. 

Third, if a sitting Vice President might now become a candidate for President, that does not negate the justification of investigating questionable acts made during his Vice-presidency. 

Fourth, there is absolutely no evidence of direct request for “quid-pro-quo” of aid for investigation, and certainly not simply for political reasons.  Indeed, not only the transcript reveals no quid pro quo, but also some very credible witnesses have clearly asserted there was no quid pro quo.

The bottom line is clear.  There is absolutely no evidence (unless you consider someone’s addition of their own narrative to actual concrete fact to be “evidence”) that the President asked for an investigation of his possible opponent in return for our foreign aid.   It just didn’t happen. 

What is happening is a group of people, led by Schiff, want to unseat a sitting president that they think the people should not have elected.  This has been their goal since 2016.  And the Impeachment Show is just their latest episode in their on-going drama.  Watch it for entertainment if you wish; but, understand that the underlying concept is based on hatred and malice the intent of which is to overthrow that which we know as America.  The Impeachment Show may look like a comedy, but if it is allowed to reach its sought-after conclusion, we will see that it was really both a horror show and a tragedy.

Anger and Hate are NOT the Voice of America


The Democrats are consumed by anger and hate.  Anger seems to be all they know; hate is all they can do. 

This became fully apparent following the 2016 election when they did not get the prize to which they thought they were entitled, but their hatred was there before.  Hillary was not the first to disparage those who she and other Democrats felt were somehow beneath them. Beyond her basket of deplorables we can remember Obama and his supporters dismissing middle American values as if they were something left over from the dark ages.

But, once Donald Trump was elected President, the Democrats’ anger and hatred have become overwhelming.  The Democrats are unable to understand even the possibility that the people could elect someone other than them when they are so confident that they are smarter and better than the rest of us and therefore should be given power over us.  So, since that is an impossibility, since the end result – their lack of power – is in their minds clearly incorrect, then they will use any means to correct that end while at the same time feeding their insatiable anger.

So, we had (still have) Russia-gate, proven to be a witch hunt; we have had (still have) attempts to find one or another scandal, still unsuccessful; we continually have name calling (racist, white supremacist, Nazi, etc.) without evidence of the epithet; we have daily spin on everything the President does to make it seem somehow negative or, if impossible to create a negative spin then credit is given to any and everyone other than the President. 

The anger and hatred are not directed exclusively at the President.  Any and all of his supporters are fair game.  Not just those who work within his administration, but the common person on the street who seems to be a supporter of the President or his policies is a possible target for the Democrats’ hate.  Those who are still brave enough to exercise their free speech rights and do such things as wear a MAGA hat do so with the knowledge that they may be the target of both verbal and physical abuse.  This, of course, is a certain way to chill if not completely silence such speech which the Democrats do not want to hear.  (The fact that this so clearly reveals their lack of respect for the founding principles of this country along with our Constitution is a topic for another post).

The anger and hatred consume the Democrats in Congress as they demand hearing after hearing on lost causes in their attempt to remove the President from office.  It consumes all the 2020 Democrat candidates as the focus of debates and stump speeches is to verbally condemn Trump – that is, Trump the man, because it is hard to condemn his policies which are all benefiting this country and its citizens.  But it is, indeed, the man that they hate because, though not one of them, he was able to fairly and honestly beat them in an election that they still believe they were entitled to win.

The press, of course, is a part of this parade of hate.  Indeed, the Democrat politicians, not to mention their supporters, often seem to be nothing more than the lap dogs of the press.  Thus, when the NYT prints a bogus story intended to dredge up again the bogus allegations against Justice Kavanaugh, even without a thought the Democrats jump and begin a new campaign of hate against the Justice.  (And, this is no less horrific than the first campaign which was intended to ruin a man’s life along with that of his family simply because he was not one of them.  For detailed thoughts on this disgusting attack on the man and our country’s values the first time, see my earlier posts from September and October 2018, most of which address aspects of the Kavanaugh hearings. This is all terribly pathetic, and one wants to dismiss this behavior as simply that of spoiled children who did not get their way, for that is all that it really is.  But one cannot do that, because in this instance the children throwing the temper fit have enough power in their hands that they can truly use that fit to destroy our country and our way of life.

That destruction has already begun.  As noted above, the strength of our First Amendment rights is being diminished.  People are berated into keeping silent if they do not spout the words and beliefs that the Democrats demand.  The Second Amendment is not even acknowledged as a right when Democrats believe they can simply create an absolute ban on all arms.  Our whole electoral process is not respected by the Democrats when every time they do not win they believe they can simply attack the result along with the winner in any and every way possible hoping to get somehow the result that they want.

When the strategy is silence the opposition, take away their rights, remove those with whom you disagree by political force rather than political process, ignore facts that are inconvenient or restructure them to support your narrative and your claim to power, then we are moving away from our Democratic Republic and toward some sort of Totalitarian system in which the people have little say in their own lives.

It is sad that the spoiled Democrats are willing to give up what makes this country great in return for holding and expanding their own power.  It is sad that the Democrats believe that they have a right to do this, based on their seeming belief that they are somehow superior to the rest of us.  The Democrats did not get the prize they wanted in 2016, but their behavior since then is proof positive that they do not deserve it.

While the Democrats seem to have chosen to be fully consumed by their anger and hate, we as a country do not need to let it consume us as well.  We do not need to accept their ugly allegations about the President, his policies, his supporters; instead we can understand that these are nothing more than their temper weapons designed to gratify their anger and give them the power they crave. 

The elected Democrats are not doing the peoples work but their own work – the sole goal being to eliminate all opposition to their power.  The media is their partner in this means justify the ends campaign.  We do not have to join in.  Their rhetoric may be persuasive, but that does not make it right or true.  We can believe it and go like sheep to the slaughter of all that our country stands for, or we can refuse to be a part.  We can continue to stand for the principles of this country that are not those of anger and hate but of fairness and justice and rule of law, of freedom and liberty, and of a voice for all the people.

Don’t Fall for It, Part 3


“Russian Collusion” didn’t work.  “He’s a Racist” isn’t working.  So, now the media, spokes-machine for the anti-Trumpers and the Left, is pushing a “coming recession” as a way to keep President Trump from being re-elected.  Don’t fall for it.

The Democrats and their handmaiden the mainstream media love to float theories about President Trump and his administration that have no, or at best very weak, factual support.  They repeat their subversive allegations and accusations over and over, both directly (“Trump is a racist”) and more subtly in a way that presents as a fact that supports their message something that has not yet been proven  (for example, “Trump’s racist statement”  when there is no evidence other than the media’s biased interpretation that the statement being referred to is indeed racist).  The Left seems to subscribe to the theory that if you repeat something enough times, then the people will believe that it is true.

This repetition of an unproven and often false narrative is a key tool of propaganda as well as useful in brainwashing.  The media selectively presents facts in a way that make them sound as if they are proof of the narrative they are promoting.  They love to characterize opinion as fact and then use that “fact” to condemn the President. 

This is really not that different from what conspiracy theorists do.  “A conspiracy theory is an explanation of an event or situation that invokes a conspiracy by sinister and powerful actors, often political in motivation, when other explanations are more probable.”  One seeking a conspiracy, or simply a narrative that condemns the President, will re-interpret objective evidence in a way that omits any fact or rational interpretation that counters the proposed narrative.  When there is no actual evidence to support the conspiracy or the narrative, what does exist will be re-interpreted as evidence of the truth of the narrative so that the conspiracy or the narrative “becomes a matter of faith rather than proof.”

And isn’t that just what we see happening among the Democrats and the media.  They have a narrative that the President is some sort of Russian agent, a racist, etc. and they will continue to ignore actual facts and instead continue to repeat their narrative.   They don't give up their belief in Russian collusion despite a thorough investigation to the contrary.  It has become a matter of faith rather than fact.

Similarly, the Left continues to put forth the now clearly debunked narrative that after Charlottesville the President said the Nazis were good people even though the actual tape of his statement shows that while he did indicate that there were good people on both sides who were there simply to protest about the Robert E. Lee statue, he then continued with the following words that persist in being completely omitted from the Left’s narrative:  “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”

But more insidious even than such outright omissions that fully change the reality of a situation is the Left’s use of basic persuasive and propaganda techniques to subtly present as true fact something for which there is no evidence or no proof.  How many times do we hear a statement about Trump begin “Trump’s racist words…” or “Trump’s offensive statement…” or “Trump’s disruptive act…”, etc.  The speaker is stating as facts that words or statements or actions are as negatively labeled.  Yet, that is nothing more than the speaker’s opinion, it is not a proven fact. 

Likewise, we hear over and over that the President’s purpose in enforcing immigration laws and putting an end to illegal immigration is one of promoting white supremacy.  There is no actual proof of that; it is simply the assumption of those whose hateful narrative about the President includes labeling him as a white supremacist. Yet, if the negative labels are repeated often enough it is likely that they become accepted as the fact that is necessary to prove the speaker’s narrative.

Now, I do not know if there will be some sort of economic collapse if the President is re-elected.  Actually, I believe it is much more likely that our booming economy will go bust if a Democrat becomes president.  But, that is my opinion, just as the Left’s new economic anti-Trump rhetoric is nothing more than their latest theory – their new narrative in their war on Trump. 

Like other conspiracy theorists, the Left’s narrative is more a matter of faith than of proof.  You do not have to join their cult.  Demand proof.  Listen carefully to their words.  Ask questions.  Find the full story – the full, complete, and actual narrative, not the fictional presentation of those who have their own agenda.  Do not simply fall for what they tell you, no matter how many times they repeat it.

Being Played


The Democrats need you – every one of you.  They need you to give them back their power – the power that they have in the past and will in the future use only to further turning you into what they think you should be without consideration of your own thoughts and desires.  Their games include identity politics, name-calling toward those who don’t worship them, self-righteous disdain of anyone who supports anyone but them, working emotion against reason, and the creation of narratives that may or may not be based upon fact and truth to prove to everyone why they are better than the rest of us and why, therefore, we should hand them the reins of power over our lives.

Let’s consider their never-ending war against Trump, a man who they consider not good enough to be in places they would call home.  A man whose truth telling (and often abrasive) statements they cannot abide.  Trump, a man who beat their presidential candidate, not because Russia rigged the election, but because the American people saw fit to elect him (those same people whom the Democrats call deplorable, ignorant, stupid, racist, and many other negative epithets).  Those people, those “idiots” perhaps saw that President Trump would do more for them than the Democrats have ever been able to accomplish, in terms of economy, opportunity, and safety.

And, that is what the Democrats simply cannot deal with:  lowest minority unemployment ever, better jobs and opportunities for women and men, an economy that is creating jobs and more importantly hope.  A government that enforces all laws equally rather than play favorites based on identity or other criteria.  A country that is not afraid to stand up to other counties in the world to make us all safer.  A President that tells it like it is and then gets stuff done.

At a loss about how to handle this, how to recover their power, the Democrats, rather than cheer what is good and getting better in America, rather than learn from how and why things are looking up for so many Americans,  choose instead to try to destroy he who is leading this positive charge along with any and all that support him or simply do not join the Left in their unending hate and attacks against all that is good.

So, the Democrats are on a mission to convince you that the country is evil, the President is evil, and all who support him or his policies are equally evil.  That, you see, appears to be the only way that they might hope to regain power in 2020.

Let us consider their war.  There is the war on American history.  Because the country has not been perfect in the past, nor is it now, nor will it likely ever be, the Democrats would have us discard it as some evil place where only hatred has ever existed.  (I suggest here the known psychological factor that we see the world through our own eyes – hence, those who hate will of course see only hate).  They are incapable of seeing the many positives and all the hope that America has given to millions over the years. 

The most recent example:  one of the greatest achievements of Man – putting a person on the moon, is now dismissed as some sort of sexist adventure because there were not enough women involved in the project (no understanding that this was the 60s and there has been an evolution of women, their careers and achievements, since then – something that can happen because of and not in spite of our country and its government). 

The Democrats hope to foment enough hate of this country that you will award them the power to remake it completely placing all power in themselves and their hatred of all that America and its people stand for.

Then there is the war on the 2016 election.  The Democrats really thought they would oust the President based on collusion and conspiracy theories.  The evidence was not and is not there.  But, that does not yet stop them.  Indeed, this coming Wednesday they will try to wring something new, or something out of context, from Mr. Mueller that they can trade for impeachment, or at least a surge in their favor and against the President. 

Mr. Nadler has indicated he intends to take sentences out of the Mueller report, read them without the surrounding context, and ask Mr. Mueller if that would support a charge of obstruction or collusion or simply impeachment.  That’s like charging me and a friend for conspiracy to rob a bank for saying “that bank could be robbed easily” when, if context were revealed, we might simply have noted poor security compared with other banks in which we were considering placing our funds.  But, the real goal here is to convince you that the President, like the country he loves, is evil and therefore must be removed.

The border.  The Democrats love to use the border to assault the President, to call him racist, supremacist, Nazi, inhumane, and any number of other names.  Yet, it is their very actions that have created both the immigration and humanitarian crisis at the border.  Due to their demands that children not be kept in custody and families be released together before adjudication of their asylum claim, it is known by those seeking illegal entry that a child gets you out of custody and into the country where you can then probably hide for years. 

So, children are being rented, bought, trafficked as up to 30% of families entering turn out not to be families at all.  Some children have crossed up to a dozen times as their adults' get out of jail free card.  Do the Democrats care about these children?  NO.  Rather, they will use a picture of a crying child to promote more hatred of the President.  This, while they withhold funds that would help that crying child and many others.  The border, and the children there, are of no consequence to the Democrats (who were not at all upset with similar conditions when they had their man, Obama, in power).  What matters to the Democrats is how these children can be used to stir up yet more hatred against their opposition and hence be useful in their own return to power.

They create a catch-22 sort of situation.  Withhold funds necessary to prevent a crisis at the border, then blame the Administration along with Border Control Agents for the crisis.  Yet, once even the meager funding that the Democrats finally agreed to reached the border, there was an immediate and deeply measurable improvement.  Yet, they would have you believe any imperfect condition is the result of the President alone, presenting this as another reason for you to distance yourself from him.  And yes, without any evidence, they claim the entire problem is due to racism, hoping you will not want to see yourself supporting someone whom they have labeled and convicted (without evidence but simply with their narrative) as racist.

And, now, the Squad, “If you don’t like it leave it,” and racism.  First, the Tweet suggesting that if people hated this country so much perhaps they should go from whence they came, improve that country, and return to show us how it’s done, is not in and of itself a racist statement.  Inflammatory yes; perhaps better left un-tweeted or said differently, yes; but, not undeniably racist.  Similar words may have been used in a racist manner in the past – that does not automatically make this Tweet racist.  And yet, the word “racist” has been affixed to it with some sort of permanent bond.  The Tweet is referred to by media and others as “the President’s racist tweet” (even the conservative host of Firing Line began her interview with Ted Cruz by asking him about the “racist tweet”). 

Here is the problem with that one-sided determination that the Tweet is racist:  it allows for no alternative viewpoint or opinion.  It is like asking “why don’t you stop beating your wife?”  If asked that question, one is already presumed to be a wife-beater, so must prove he is not before he can argue he therefore does not need to stop.  In the instance of the Tweet, when one is asked why they don’t condemn the “racist tweet” one must first prove that it is a reasonable interpretation that it is not racist before one can argue that they therefore need not condemn it.

But, here again the Democrats, with their media minions, have established the President as racist without real proof, but hope that by simply bombarding us with that sentiment they will convince us that he is and that we, not wanting to be considered racist by association, will drop our support of him.

Convincing us that the President is racist is especially important to the Democrats as they see their hold on minority votes slipping.  They forget that minorities, like the rest of us, are capable of seeing, thinking, and assessing what is really going on.  In the end, actions will always speak louder than words, and the President’s actions, for minorities, for women, for everyone in this country are to all our benefit, unlike those words and promises of Democrats that are useful only to build a dependent underclass who will continue to give power to those who do not really have that underclass’s best interests at heart.

Yes, the Democrats need you.  They need you to give them the power they seek.  It seems the only way they can think to cause you to do that is to instill in you the hatred that they seem to have for this country and every one and thing within it that is not them or useful to them.   They are playing you.

Theirs is a campaign of hate: enough hate and you will be willing to give them what they want.  Hate the country enough and you will gladly let them destroy it; hate the President enough and you will gladly oust him from office one way or another; hate the good that he has done for the country and the people and you will gladly let the Democrats reverse all that. 

The Democrats think you are stupid enough to accept what they tell you without more.  Don’t buy their hate.  They are selling you lies and ugliness but you are being played by their well-choreographed narratives along with their minions who distort and conceal the Truth from your view.  Don’t let them play you.

Today's Miscellaneous Thoughts


Today I have just a few short comments about some of the current news.

Sports and Politics
               Ms. Rapinoe and her team are outstanding soccer players.  They should be proud of their abilities.  But, when you are playing on the world stage you represent more than just yourself and your ego.  You represent your country.  That means showing respect for that country and its flag.  You don’t throw the flag on the ground to do a personal and pre-planned victory dance.  You don’t trash your country and its leader.  You save your personal and political grievances for another time.
               Ms. Rapinoe’s statements against the president of the country she should be honored to represent are selfish and egocentric.  Her statements of not wanting to go to the White House upon winning, a place that is representative of our country to its citizens and to the world, is appalling and her making this about politics by suggesting she will honor invitations to Washington from Democrats shows a complete lack of understanding of what it means to represent one’s country on the world stage.  Rather, she wants to make it about herself and her political views.  Let her then become a politician rather than an athlete.
               I am not saying she does not have a right or responsibility to speak her views.  But there are times and places for all speech.  When one is representing her country as an athlete in a world competition, it is not the appropriate time or place to air personal grievances.
               Speaking of grievances, the victimhood she asserts about unequal pay is a bit suspect when one considers the full facts.  The women’s soccer has a union and a collective bargaining agreement which the women have negotiated separately from that of men’s soccer.  Under that agreement their salaries (like that of the men) are in large part tied to audience size.  Women’s soccer has a much smaller audience than does men’s.  Now, one can argue about why that might be so, but the point is, that is a fact to which the players have agreed to use as a defining factor in their salary.   Yes, in this country that Ms. Rapinoe loves to trash, she, a woman, had a right through her union to negotiate her contract and her pay.  So, yes, the pay is different for men and women, but not due to any discriminatory pay practices.  If more people watched women’s soccer, Ms. Rapinoe might make more money, perhaps even as much as male players.  But, then, behaving like a selfish brat is not a way to encourage a larger viewing audience.

The Mueller Re-do
               So, now we learn that the Democrat Congress is planning to subpoena scads of witnesses to have them re-hash the testimony that they gave to Mr. Mueller during the 2 years of his investigation.  During that investigation they lauded Mr. Mueller for his thoroughness and competence.  That was before they saw his conclusion which was not what they had hoped – President Trump was not removed from office and did not go to jail.
               So, now, they want to re-do the entire investigation.  At another huge cost to the American people.  Money that could go to far better causes, helping our citizenry or even those non-citizens whom the Democrats are so concerned about at our borders.  But no, they want to get rid of Trump.  They thought Mueller would do that; he did not.  So now they will try a re-do of the same investigation with the same witnesses, hoping beyond hope that someone will turn for them or at least say something in slightly different words so that they can accuse them of lying to Congress, and, somehow by implication find the President guilty.
               I also find it interesting that these subpoenas are being issued as the president’s popularity is soaring.  Apparently, the Democrats can’t counter all the positive news of the economy, environmental improvements in things as basic as water, better standing in the world, and many others.  And of course, they are embarrassed (perhaps – if that is something that is possible for a Democrat) by their mischaracterization of the Independence Day Celebration and their all out attack on patriotism, something which many Americans found appalling.
               The Democrats fear that the positive feeling in this country, in large part due to Trump’s policies, will get him re-elected.  So rather than present positive and realistic alternatives they will simply continue their witch hunt against him.

Lies for an Agenda
               Apparently when the Democrats are determined to make a point, the end will justify any means, including lies.  We have AOC and her cohort making up stories about the conditions on the border.  We have the Washington Post calling out Rep. Omar for at least two lies, because her American story “is complicated.”  And, of course we have the daily half- truths and manufactured innuendos about President Trump. 
This is what the Democrats do; this is how they try to gain power and win elections.  They certainly don’t look at facts, look at their constituents wants and needs, and work toward doing what is good and right for this country.  Their agenda seems to be different:  to remake this country into something it was never intended to be and in so doing to install themselves in positions of power that will control every aspect of our lives.
That is certainly not what I want, and, while couched in lies their behavior may sound good, I think that if the people were better informed (which is difficult with a biased media), then few would support the agenda of the Left.

Thoughts on he First Democrat "Debate"


After getting over the jokes and laughs at the ridiculous show that was the first Democrat debate, I realized I was actually horrified that one of these people could really become the head of our great country. 

The first question is:   How could that happen?  The answer is “sadly, too easily.”   We have a very ill informed electorate, partly because many people themselves make little effort to be informed, partly because our education system has failed to teach many about our system of government and the need of the electorate to be informed, and partly because the media no longer takes seriously its job to inform the electorate and rather chooses to be a propaganda arm for its chosen political views.   

In any event, as Thomas Jefferson told us:  A well-informed citizenry is the cornerstone and at the heart of a democracy and is the best defense against tyranny.   Based on this, our democracy is currently in grave danger!

The next question is: if anyone of these candidates were elected, what sort of a leader would they be?  From the “debate” we saw that each candidate went out of his or her way to claim their victim points:  African American, Hispanic, woman, veteran, poor upbringing, (even upbringing by conservative parents as a negative!), etc., etc.   We learned that they like to place people into identity groups and pander to groups that they believe will respond to that pandering with votes.  

We also learned that they are unable to acknowledge that for the first time in many years our economy is good and growing, unemployment, especially for minorities, is at all time lows; instead, they insist on telling us that the economy is bad. (They need it to be bad so they will have victims to which to pander and make promises) Similarly, they find fault with most everything that is currently going well for our country and at the same time choose to blame the President and Republicans for anything that is not perfect.

These two things alone show us that these candidates are not interested in uniting the country.  They will continue to tear us apart with identity politics and victimhood.  In furtherance of maintaining such underclasses dependent upon them and their power they will reverse anything positive for the people of this country that gets in the way.  And, they will continue to create hatred between identity groups.

Indeed, they are not interested in maintaining an identifiable country as evidenced by their stands for open borders.  They would rather play some blame game about the illegal immigration crisis, using that blame to gain points for their power, rather than deal with actual facts.  Thus, a man who chose to take his daughter across the Rio Grande in order to enter this country illegally, and who with his daughter perished, is not responsible; rather, it is the fault of the President and republicans (none of whom told him to cross a dangerous river to enter the country illegally).   Individual responsibility is not relevant when you can use an individual act to stir up hatred for a group you dislike.

There is, in these Democrats' view, no personal responsibility for that father’s decision – why should he wait for a slower legal process when he can put his daughter in danger and they can use the horrid result to cast blame for a crisis that they themselves are at least in part responsible for creating?  Not, in my opinion, the sort of approach I want to see in the leader of my country.

These candidates are also not interested in the assimilation of immigrants into our society as evidenced in part by their choice of using a language that is not the language of this country.  Pandering!  And, I’m wondering how immigrants from countries other than those speaking the foreign language answers prepared by the candidates felt about their exclusion.  I feel insulted that as a voting citizen these candidates chose to speak Spanish, to pander to some other audience just to score points.  

We learned that the law does not really matter to these candidates, or only matters when it furthers their agenda.  History is in many cases a mystery to them, as are a complete understanding of relevant facts on an issue.

During its founding, America came together under the slogan “united we stand, divided we fall.”  Yet, the main modus operandi of these Democrats seems to be to divide us in order to obtain and retain their own power.  Their currency is hate.  And, the frightening thing is that there are those who accept their ploys and pandering and even take them seriously. 

So, humorous as the “Democrats Have (no) Talent” show was last night, it should be a wake up call to everyone in this country about the direction we are headed if we continue to tolerate the beliefs and antics of these people.  Unless the electorate realizes the importance of  being informed, and then truly and fully inform themselves, it is not outside the realm of possibility for anyone to be elected, no matter how threatening they are to our country and its core principles

Time to Stand Up, Pick Your Side, and Speak Up


It is becoming fully apparent that the Democrats won’t rest until they have not only destroyed President Trump but have completely torn the Country apart as well.

We know why they have this need to destroy the President:  First, he won the election which they were “supposed to” win in 2016.  Now they are concerned that with his many promises kept, the booming economy, improved standing in the world, etc., that they will not be able to beat him in 2020, so they must destroy him one way or another before then.  And, of course, they just don’t like him – he is not like them, he is real, he says what he thinks, rather than play political games he’d rather just get things done.  His successes prove how ineffective the Democrats have been and how little they really care about the American people and their country.

So, the Democrats are willing to tear the country apart, destroy it perhaps beyond repair, just to regain their power and finish off the man whom they irrationally hate.

They are already well on their way to success.  The most obvious display of their irrationality is in their continuing obsession with the Mueller report.  They refuse to give up on their debunked Russia collusion story.  They defy well established law as they hold the Attorney General in contempt for following laws that prohibit the release of confidential grand jury testimony.   They would hold hearings after hearings after hearings for no legitimate purpose while the real business of the country, the business they were elected to attend to, goes unattended and ignored.

But there is more.  They have put the Constitution itself under attack.  They find several ways to silence those whose views do not agree with their own.  Conservative speakers are often excluded from a variety of events; those who support the President are shamed and attacked, both verbally and physically; those who serve the president are the subject of not only verbal and sometimes physical assault, but also of every possible legal assault as well.  Lawsuit upon lawsuit upon lawsuit is filed for any action with which the Democrats do not concur – no matter that it reflects the will of the people, thus slowing down action after action that would benefit this Country and its people.  Political correctness silences views and opinions that are not those which the Democrats approve – no matter that those opinions or observations may be necessary to have a full and objective discussion of an issue. 

Like little angry children who can’t accept compromise, the Democrats in essence keep yelling “It’s my way or the highway!”  They cannot accept the will of the people when it isn’t what they want.  This is not what our Constitution envisions; it is not the way our Democratic Republic works!

Democrats are trying to change the way our president is elected.  The loss of the electoral college would put far more power in the Democratic strongholds – large cities and liberal coastal states – leaving those in fly-over country with no real reason to even cast a vote. 

Their lack of understanding of the Constitution is startling at times.  Nancy Pelosi recently stated that Congress is the “superior branch” of government when she should know that all 3 branches are equal.  Democrats, in their goal to eliminate guns, compare them to cars which are licensed, ignoring the fact that while there is a Constitutional right to bear arms, there is no constitutional right to own or drive a car. 

Democrats have lost respect for the protections that our Constitution provides against unreasonable search and seizure.  They disregard such concepts as “innocent until proven guilty.”  Rather, if they approve a narrative that proclaims someone guilty, they will ignore any and all evidence to the contrary.  The Constitution strives to treat all citizens equally; the Democrats would divide us based on a variety of identity characteristics as they pick favorites and those whom they condemn in their continuing games of identity politics.

In the same vein, the Democrats have forgotten that the Constitution protects our right to hold our own beliefs and be free to exercise them.  We hear anti-Christian and anti-Semetic sentiments, as well as anti-white and anti-other disfavored identity groups daily from the mouths of Democrats who should know better.  And, they further seek to rewrite history, eliminating what they don’t like, eliminating unpleasant aspects that we may not be proud of but from which we learned and evolved.  That is, they would eliminate part of what in the end makes us great.  And, what they do not seek to eliminate, they would rewrite to serve their own ends.

I do not mean to imply that Constitutional rights cannot be limited; they can when there is a compelling need to do so, but such restrictions are as narrow as possible.  The Constitution is the core of our Country.  It gives us our representative form of Democracy which allows every citizen to have a voice and in so doing protects us from mob rule of a pure Democracy or State control by a Socialist or Communistic structure.  The Democrats seemingly do not want us to have that protection. 

The Democrats are not going to give up in this war that they are waging on the President, our Country, and our way of life.  No one can stand on the side any longer.

I am reminded of the words of Pastor Niemoller, regarding his failure to speak up in Nazi Germany.  Beginning with the Jews he lists several groups that were subsequently and incremental purged, group after group. After stating each group, he confesses he did not speak up because he was not one of them.  The statement ends with the words “Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”

We are all in the shoes of Pastor Niemoller in the face of the Democrats.  Don’t let their double-speak and projections of their behavior onto that of their enemy fool you.  It is not Donald Trump or the Republicans who would destroy the Constitution and our Country; it is the Democrats who are doing so even as I write, and you read this.

A time comes when one must choose sides.  If not now, that time is fast approaching.  In choosing one must not be swayed by what is popular or pretty or immediately gratifying.  One must truly understand with whom they are choosing to stand and what their victory would mean, not just in the short term, but in the long view of the individual, our Constitution, our Country, and our way of life.

This is serious business.  And it demands a serious review of who we are and what our Nation stands for, and what will be lost if we do not stop the Democrats’ march to destroy it all.  The Democrats would prefer that no one take notice, that like blind sheep we ignore the wolf they have become in our midst.  Those who choose to do that, to simply sit back and assume all will be fine, must consider that when they have lost all that was, there will be no one left to speak for them.
